Harvested Area and Paddy Production in Magetan Regency 2024

In 2024, Magetan Regency recorded a harvested paddy area of 43,405 hectares, a decrease of 2.29% compared to the previous year. Paddy production reached 272,246 tons of dry milled grain (GKG), down 2.97% from 2023. When converted, rice production for population consumption was equivalent to 157,200 tons. This decline was influenced by reduced harvest area and productivity, especially during the January–April and September–December subrounds. Data were collected using the Area Sampling Frame (KSA) method and Crop Cutting Survey, utilizing satellite imagery and android-based field observation systems for accurate estimation. The January–April 2025 projection shows a potential 16.04% increase in production compared to the same period in 2024.
