Abstract

  • The East Java Fisherman's Exchange Rate (NTN) in May 2021 rose 2.66 percent from 98.62 in April 2021 to 101.24 in May 2021. This increase was due to the increase in the price index received by fishermen by 2.79 percent, higher than the index of prices paid by fishermen, which rose by 0.13 percent.
  • The development of NTN in May 2021 against December 2020 (calendar year) increased by 5.18 percent. The development of NTN in May 2021 against May 2020 (year-on-year) increased by 7.82 percent.
  • Of the six provinces on the island of Java that calculated NTN in May 2021, five provinces experienced an increase in NTN. East Java Province rose by 2.66 percent, DKI Jakarta Province rose 1.82 percent, Central Java Province rose 0.62 percent, West Java Province rose 0.51 percent, and Banten Province rose 0.15 percent. Meanwhile, the province that experienced a decrease in NTN was DI Yogyakarta Province by 0.27 percent.
